It won’t be long before we know exactly will be included in the Games with Gold December 2020 lineup for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. While November was the first month Microsoft could have added some kind of new offering for the Xbox Series X, they have also pledged to keep their first-party titles cross-generational. So we can’t predict whether some kind of next-gen surprise is being planned for Games with Gold next month.

Sony has provided guidance for their own plans with the PS5 and PlayStation Plus games in the future, telling fans earlier this month:

“All PlayStation Plus members will continue to receive at least two great PS4 games each month.

“It is our goal to add PS5 games regularly to the monthly games lineup, so check back with us at PS Blog for our monthly PlayStation Plus announcements.”

For now, Microsoft has not made a similar pledge and recent Games with Gold titles have had a hard time competing with Sony’s PS Plus.

But with these latest changes being made, it will be interesting to see if Microsoft responds with their own changes to Xbox Live Gold.

Unfortunately for us, no leaks have surfaced yet suggesting what might be hitting Games with Gold next.

The tech giant is set to announce its full November plans very soon, with a new lineup of four Xbox One and Xbox 360 launching in ten days time.

No precise date has been shared, but things will need to be revealed before Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

November’s Games with Gold lineup included Aragami: Shadow Edition, Swimsanity, Full Spectrum Warrior and Lego Indiana Jones.

Aragami: Shadow Edition and Lego Indiana Jones will be replaced at the end of the month with new games, while Swimsanity will be available until December 15.

Descriptions for both Xbox games can be found below:

Aragami: Shadow Edition

Embark on a dark journey full of blood and secrets. Including both the original game and its prequel, Nightfall, play as the undead assassin with the power to control the shadows. Dispatch your enemies utilizing a wide array of powers in the solo campaign, or team up with a friend in cross-platform online multiplayer as you put your stealth abilities to the test.

Swimsanity!

Unleash the insanity! Team up with four friends and deploy a variety of unique powerups and weapons, or battle it out against each other to be the last Mooba standing. With over 150 challenges across 8 gaming modes, the intensity doesn’t let up in this action-packed underwater co-op shooter.

Meanwhile, plenty of new games have been lined up for Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

The latest additions to the service include ARK Survival Evolved, Star Renegades and River City Girls.

And the good news is we already know more about what will be coming to the service later in 2020.

It has now been confirmed that Call of the Sea will be launching in December and will be available on Xbox Game Pass.
