Fortnite servers are going down for maintenance today, with the release of patch 12.30 confirmed by Epic Games.

The good news is that we know exactly when Fortnite maintenance is scheduled to begin, and we’ve also got a rough estimate on how long servers will be down.

All platforms will be in maintenance, meaning that there will be no way to play Fortnite Battle Royale until everything has been completed.

But while past patches have included surprise content, Epic has provided a rundown of what’s coming next.

Fortnite update 15.30 will include a new LTM for gamers to try out and boasts a special Mandalorian tie-in.

Here’s what been confirmed for this week’s new Fortnite update:

  • Bring ‘em in cold with the new Mando’s Bounty LTM.
  • Two new Exotics.
  • New Devices and Options for Creative.

And Epic usually warn gamers if a new patch is going to big, so it looks this next one shouldn’t take too long to download.

Epic has also confirmed that the Boundless skin is getting updated and will no longer provide an unfair advantage.

Fans have highlighted the fact that when set to certain colours – black/black and white/white – it can be difficult to see users wearing the skin.

This option is being removed with the next Fortnite update, with Epic explaining: “It was brought to our attention that Outfits in the Boundless Set included colour combinations that could compromise the competitive integrity of matches.

“As a result, we’re planning to make minor cosmetic adjustments in our next update.

“We’ve made some adjustments to the materials, and you will no longer be able to have white/white or black/black colour combinations when selecting your primary and secondary colours.”

HOW LONG ARE FORTNITE SERVERS DOWN FOR UPDATE 15.30?

Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite servers are going down at 9am GMT, or 4am ET, if you live in the United States.

This is happening today, Tuesday, February 2, across all platforms and will mean all game modes going offline.

This option is being removed with the next Fortnite update, with Epic explaining: “It was brought to our attention that Outfits in the Boundless Set included colour combinations that could compromise the competitive integrity of matches.

A message from the Fortnite development team confirms: “You may make it to the top… but can you stay there?

“Prove you’re among the galaxy’s best bounty hunters in our v15.30 update, scheduled to release on February 2. Downtime will begin at approx. 4 AM ET (09:00 UTC).”

Epic Games has also provided a rough estimate for how long Fortnite servers could be down today.

A message on the Fortnite site reveals that the Fortnite downtime could run for up to three hours.

However, it should be noted that this is the maximum amount of time servers could be down, meaning it’s likely that the game will be back online a lot sooner.

After the patch has been released, Epic Games has confirmed that NFL skins will be returning to the game on February 4, telling gamers:

“Whether you support Kansas City, Tampa Bay, or another NFL squad, the recently released Gridiron Gang Set returns on February 4 @ 7PM ET. These Outfits include two uniform styles for every team, along with the new Logo-a-go Back Bling so you can rep your favourite team.

“Also kicking off on February 4, the Bucs and Chiefs will take their battle to the Island in our NFL Rumble LTM. There’s no trophy on the line, but there’s still plenty of room for bragging rights.”
