Genshin Impact has cemented itself as one of the breakout hits of 2020, and it looks set to continue being a popular choice in 2021.

Developers Mihoyo has confirmed that it will be launching more content for the game next year, with Genshin Impact 1.3 scheduled to be the next big patch.

The only downside is that this new patch probably won’t be available to download and explore until February 2021.

But having just seen a new map area, weapons and characters added to the game in December; there should be plenty to keep fans busy.

February is the earliest time we will see Genshin Impact 1.3 arrive, and MiHoYo has already started sharing what will be included.

One of the main focal points the team has been exploring is providing the correct buffs for Zhongli.

Zhongli has been available as a playable character for several weeks but has failed to live up to fan expectation.

Several changes have already been made, but MiHoYo has confirmed that more buffs are being planned in 2021.

A message from Genshin Impact development team explains: “Since we announced the plan for adjustments to Zhongli, testers have provided the developers with a great deal of detailed feedback based on their actual in-game experience.

“Meanwhile, we have also received many valuable suggestions from Travelers across various social media channels. Once again, we would like to thank everyone for all your invaluable contributions.”

Here are the current issues being looked at:

  • Zhongli is a comparatively weak support character, especially in Co-Op scenarios.
  • In parties with Geo Resonance effects, the support that Zhongli provides is less pronounced than other available Geo characters, giving him relatively low strategic value, especially considering that he is a 5-star character.
  • In Single Player Mode, Zhongli is not very compatible in parties with non-Geo Elemental Resonance effects.

The good news is that MiHoYo are dedicated to sorting these issues with the release of Genshin 1.3, and new tweaks will be hitting the test servers today.

Genshin Impact fans can also look forward to further updates from the team on the final adjustments being made before update 1.3 is released.

“During the Version 1.3 beta testing period, we will continue to monitor data on the test server to see how the adjustments are performing and will be carefully listening to Travelers’ feedback. Before Version 1.3 officially releases, we will confirm the finalised adjustment plan with everyone once more.”

Fans are also wondering when the next news regarding Genshin Impact coming to Nintendo Switch consoles will be revealed.

IS GENSHIN IMPACT COMING TO NINTENDO SWITCH?

The good news is that developers MihoYo has confirmed plans to release Genshin Impact on Nintendo Switch. The current version of the game was launched in September and is proving popular in its current free-to-play version.

The same deal is expected with Nintendo, meaning Genshin Impact will be F2P on Switch too.

Fans are hopeful for another update on the port in January 2021, as there hasn’t been a ton of news on the subject shared in recent months.

And the launch of Genshin Impact 1.3 could make for the perfect time to share the latest juicy details on the game’s future.

For now, there is no guarantee we will get news on the Nintendo Switch version until MiHoYo is ready to share more about it.

The next piece of news concerning Genshin Impact on Nintendo Switch could be when the beta is released in 2021.
