First, the star told James about how he tracked down Elvis’ house in Bremerhaven, Germany, where he was stationed during his time in the army.
Sir Cliff explained: “The first time we were coming back from Italy, and and Bad Nauheim, was not far away – that’s where Elvis was stationed while he was in the army.
“We found the house – you couldn’t miss it, it had ‘Elvis I love you’ all over it – I knocked on the door and this big guy said: ‘Yeah can I help you?’
“I said, is Elvis in? And he said ‘no, he’s not. Who are you?’ I said ‘well I’m Cliff Richard,’ and he said ‘well okay, I’ll let him know you called,’ and I rushed out!”
