To activate this, you first need to head to chrome://flags. Then, you need to search for Omnibox Assistant Voice Search.

Following this, you need to use the drop down menu and select one of the Enabled options, and then restart your browser.

Once you’ve gone through these simple steps, you will be able to take advantage of voice search in Google Chrome.

If you want to try searching for something on Google with your voice, you will need to tap the microphone button in the Chrome omnibox or when you open a new tab page.

Then, simply say your search query out loud. Google Assistant will give you an audible response, and you’ll also be presented with search results on your device.

This handy new feature can even be enabled on phones that don’t have the new version of Google Assistant. The only thing you’ll be missing out on are some slight visual flourishes when this feature is used.
