If you missed out on an Xbox Series X console at launch, then there is still one way to potentially get your hands on one in time for Christmas.

2K Games has revealed a brand new Borderlands 3-themed Xbox Series X console that looks incredible.

As you can see from the image above, the Borderlands Xbox console is modelled after fan favourite character Claptrap. The controller has also been given a Borderlands-themed makeover.

Sadly, the Borderlands 3 Xbox Series X console isn’t available to buy, but it can be won by an aspiring artist.

To win the Xbox Series X console, fans are encouraged to submit a poster or artwork inspired by Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (The link is in the tweet below).

The competition is open until December 7, while 2K aims to send the prizes out on the week beginning December 14.

According to the judging criteria, posters will be scored based on the interpretation of the theme; creativity and originality in the design; quality of artistic composition; and overall impression of the art.

If you don’t have the art skills to win such a competition, then the Xbox Series X will be a little harder to come by.

At the time of writing, only eBay has Xbox Series X consoles in stock, although most listings are massively overpriced.

CEX is also likely to have stock in the run up to Christmas, although the console is currently priced at £680.

If you don’t want to pay over the odds for the Xbox Series X, then it’s worth bookmarking the Stock Informer website and signing up for alerts.

Customers can also sign up for alerts from various online stores, so it’s worth checking around.

The Microsoft Store and Very had the Xbox Series X in stock on launch day, so it’s worth checking those sites first.

Elsewhere, the Borderlands competition isn’t the only unusual way to get an Xbox Series X.

BT customers were able to purchase the Xbox Series X through their MYBT accounts for a limited time.

Unfortunately, the demand for the consoles was said to be huge, and the allocation sold out very quickly.

A contact at BT is currently investigating whether or not the company will stock any additional consoles.

Express Online will keep you updated with all the latest Xbox Series X and PS5 re-stocks in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
