The countdown is on until the first showing of the J Balvin Concert goes live in Fortnite Battle Royale.

Epic Games has confirmed that things will be kicking off at around 6pm PDT in the United States and much later in Europe.

Gamers in the UK will need to wait around until 1am GMT before they get the chance to tune in and watch.

One part of the special Halloween live event is the tie-in Party Trooper skin that’s available in the Item Shop.

This costs money to buy and isn’t needed to enjoy the J Balvin Concert in-game on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mobile and Nintendo Switch.

The Party Trooper skin is currently available to buy for 1,200 V-Bucks and comes with a special variant.

As a souvenir of your journey with J Balvin into the netherworld, all Party Trooper owners who attend any of the Afterlife Party showings in Fortnite will unlock the exclusive J Balvin style.

Wearing the Outfit to the show is optional for unlocking the style, and gamers should know that they can bring any spooky Outfit they like.

But while the Party Trooper comes with a special Afterlife Party variant, it won’t be available forever.

Epic Games has confirmed that the Party Tropper will be disappearing from the Item Shop on Sunday, November 1.

A message from the Fortnite support team confirms: “When the Afterlife Party premiere wraps, you can catch rebroadcasts of J Balvin’s performance on November 1 at 1 PM ET and 6 PM ET (10 AM PT and 3 PM PT) — again at the Main Stage. You can also watch the premiere and the 6 PM ET/3 PM PT rebroadcast with your friends on mobile on the Houseparty group video chat app!

“Want to wear a costume to the party? A new nightlife take on a Fortnitemares favorite, the Party Trooper Outfit is available in the Item Shop now all the way through November 1 at 8 PM ET.

“And if you want a Balvin celebration before the show, drop into Fortnite Creative from October 25 through October 31 to visit La Familia — an island made by community members Iscariote and Davidpkami where you can play minigames based on songs from J Balvin’s latest album.”

The Fortnitemares in-game event comes to an end a few days later on November 3.

As part of the event, players killed in battle with come back as ghostly agents of Midas.

As ghosts, players have a new range of powers, including the ability to pass through walls and doors.

Ghost agents can also regain health by consuming items, and can highlight living players on the map.

This could be one of the last big events being held before the launch of Fortnite Season 5, which is expected to arrive sometime at the end of November.

The current Battle Pass is scheduled to end on November 30, so if any other big live events are being planned, Epic Games will need to announce it in the coming weeks.
