Waterloo regional police are investigating a homicide in Kitchener.

Around 8:45 p.m. on Monday, police responded to a call about an injured man at a townhouse complex on Courtland Avenue East.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators said they are looking to speak to a male who was seen in the area at the time. He is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s with a thin build and short, light-coloured hair. He had a black backpack and was carrying a guitar.

There will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.

A post-mortem is scheduled in Hamilton on Tuesday.
