Joel Taylor’s cause of death has been revealed five months after he passed away aged 38 on a cruise ship.
The Storm Chasers star died from an overdose of MDMA, according to toxicology reports released by The Bureau of Forensic Sciences of Puerto Rico and obtained by The Blast.
The website reports that Joel had a mix of the drug (also known as ecstasy) as well as ketamine and zolpidem (a version of Ambien), and MDA, which is a psychedelic amphetamine in his system when he died.
However, the official cause of death is reportedly MDMA poisoning.
Joel was found unresponsive in his cabin on board Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas when the boat docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
According to TMZ, Joel had passed out on a dance floor in the early hours of the morning.
