Meghan Markle’s dad is desperate to reunite the new Duchess of Sussex with her warring family as soon as possible.

Thomas, 73, wants her to fly to America to make peace with siblings Samantha, 53, and Thomas Junior, 51, after their pre-wedding fall-out.

He is now said to be anxiously waiting to hear when he can see his daughter and finally meet Prince Harry after missing last month’s Royal Wedding because of a heart operation.

A source revealed: “Thomas really wants to bring them all back together.

A source said Thomas, here with a young Meghan, aims for all of them to move forward as a family after the split

“His aim is for them to move forward as a family and he’s hopeful something can happen within months.”

Meghan, 36, didn’t invite either of her half-siblings to her Windsor Castle nuptials after both publicly and repeatedly criticised her in the lead up to the ceremony.

Samantha, who has not spoken to Meghan since 2015, hit out at her several times for not inviting more family members.

Only the bride’s mum Doria Ragland was there on her big day.

Thomas Jnr even warned Prince Harry not to marry her in a scathing open letter which he has since described as a “moment of madness”.

The source added: “The truth is Meghan never heard a lot of what was being said by her siblings because Prince Harry shielded her from a lot of it in the run-up to the wedding.

“Meghan’s dad knows it still won’t be easy after everything that has gone on, but he believes it’s worth a try.

Meghan’s sister, Samantha, has hit out at the new royal several times for not inviting more family members to her Big Day

“He loves them all and wants to draw a line under it all now and for them all to realise the importance of family.

“Thomas is sick of feeling like he’s stuck in the middle.”

Thomas Snr, who lives alone in Rosarito, Mexico, was in regular contact with Meghan before the wedding as he tried to build bridges between her and his two children from an earlier marriage.

He caused an international furore earlier this week after being paid for an ITV Good Morning Britain interview.

He told how he made Harry, 33, vow never to “raise his hand” against Meghan before he would give his blessing to the marriage – and how his daughter cried when she found out he would not be giving her away because of his operation.

He said Harry was open to the idea of Brexit and added the Prince had urged him to give Donald Trump a chance.
