Lisa Armstrong strode through Los Angeles airport today, following her week from hell.

Last weekend, the make-up artist, 41, learnt that her ex-husband of 11 years, Ant McPartlin , had moved on just six months later with Anne-Marie Corbett – the PA they both shared and who had previously been her close friend.

But in a bid to escape all the drama – and possibly to put an ocean between her and the new couple – Lisa jetted off to America for a well-deserved break.

Lisa kept it casual for her flight to America

She looked downbeat yet defiant

Wearing casual denim cut-offs, sliders and obligatory sunglasses, Lisa looked downbeat yet defiant as she strolled through the airport, showcasing her new bleached-blonde hair do.

She was also still wearing her wedding ring.

As we reported earlier today, insiders are claiming she’s planning to delay the divorce to Ant McPartlin, that he issued in January of this year – without her name or approval.

Staying away for a while? Lisa packs three suitcases for her trip

Friends say she’s “flattened” by the news – and “it’s really taken its toll on her”

According to today’s Sun, friends of Ant’s say that “she refuses to go quietly” and they are “baffled by her reluctance to sign a deal”. One insider said: “She could walk away a very wealthy woman and move on in a heartbeat.”

But money’s obviously not the point for this woman, who feels like she has been doubly betrayed by her ex-husband and friend.

Lisa’s parents moved in to her Chiswick home earlier this week, to help her deal with her heartbreak and grief over the news of the TV star’s new relationship.

A friend said: “They’re supporting her so she has some normality.

“This has really taken its toll on Lisa – it’s driving a very caring, loving girl to distraction.”

“She’s become numb to the torment of losing her marriage, and news about Anne-Marie has pushed her to the edge.

“She’s not herself; we’re all worried about her. This has flattened her.”
